What we reupholster

From a tired sofa to a treasured antique

If it's upholstered, we can bring it back to life, or rebuild it entirely. We recover, repair or make new, whatever suits the piece.

Sofas & lounges

Two, three and modular lounges recovered or rebuilt, new foam, webbing and fabric, back to full comfort.

Dining & occasional chairs

Seats and full recovers in hard-wearing fabric or wipeable vinyl, a whole set matched perfectly.

Armchairs & recliners

Favourites brought back to life, from a simple recover to a full traditional rebuild.

Antiques & heirlooms

Traditional methods where the piece calls for it, so it can be handed down again.

Bed heads & ottomans

Custom-made or recovered to your exact brief, buttoning, piping, the lot.

Cushions & repairs

Sunken cushions, broken webbing, worn foam, the structural fixes that make it comfortable again.

Reupholstery questions

How much does it cost to reupholster a sofa?

It depends on the piece and, most of all, the fabric you choose. Send us a photo and we'll give you a rough quote, firmed up once you've chosen your fabric, before any work starts.

Is it worth reupholstering instead of buying new?

Usually, yes, a solid frame recovered properly outlasts most new imported furniture, for less, and keeps a piece you love.

How long does it take?

It mostly comes down to your fabric's lead time. Once it's in, most jobs move quickly, we'll give you a clear timeframe with your quote.

Do you pick up and deliver?

Yes, across all of Melbourne, by arrangement.

How long does reupholstery usually take?

Most dining chairs turn around in a week or two, while a full lounge or modular sofa typically takes a few weeks depending on the fabric lead time and the amount of internal rebuilding needed. We give you a realistic timeframe with your quote so you can plan around it.

Do I need to bring the furniture in, or can you collect it?

You are welcome to drop pieces to our Eltham workshop, and for larger lounges we can arrange collection and return. The simplest first step is to send us a few photos so we can scope the job before anything moves.

Can you match or source a fabric I have seen elsewhere?

Yes, we work across a wide range of upholstery-grade fabrics and can help you match a colour, texture or brand you already have in mind. If you have a sample or a photo, bring it along and we will find the closest practical option for how the piece will be used.

Will you replace the foam and padding as well as the fabric?

Reupholstery is the ideal time to renew tired foam and padding, and we use fire-grade foam so the piece feels supportive again rather than just looking new on the outside. We assess the internals of every piece and only replace what actually needs it.

Can you reupholster just one part of a lounge, like the seat cushions?

In many cases yes, particularly where the wear is isolated to the seat cushions or one section. We will tell you honestly whether a partial job will look right or whether doing the whole piece gives a better and longer-lasting result.

How do I get a price without a workshop visit?

Send us clear photos of the piece from a few angles along with rough dimensions, and we can give you a free quote from the photo. It saves you a trip and gives you a figure to work with before you commit.
